Clay Matheny has been in the renewable energy industry for four years with Orsted Americas where he has spent time completing pre-construction energy assessments for both utility-scale wind and solar projects. The past two years Clay’s primary focus has been on solar energy modeling and module technology to improve the accuracy and efficiency of production estimates for Orsted’s wide ranging solar portfolio. Clay has an academic background in atmospheric science and energy management with a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and a Professional Science Master’s degree from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
