Philippe Beaucage PhD has 18 years of experience in the wind and solar industry. He has been with UL Renewables (previously AWS Truepower) since 2008 and his current role is Lead Research Scientist. He has been involved in company-wide R&D projects related to resource assessment, forecasting, grid integration and climate change risk assessment. Dr. Beaucage acts as a principal investigator on R&D projects and as the lead scientist on other projects. His main area of expertise is numerical modeling with such tools as mesoscale numerical weather prediction models and diagnostic microscale models.
Dr. Beaucage holds a Ph.D. degree in Energy at the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (INRS) and a M.Sc. degree in Physics from Université de Montréal. He has spoken at many national and international conferences. His publication record includes several peer-reviewed journals. He
